Welcome to the Astrosat Science Support Cell (ASSC), operated jointly by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and the Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA). The ASSC assists Guest Observers in making observing proposals and analyzing the science data acquired by the AstroSat mission. This site provides tools and documentation required for proposal writing and data analysis, along with necessary updates. The ASSC also organizes workshops/meetings and operates a helpdesk. The ASSC works in close collaboration with the Indian Space Science Data Centre (ISSDC) and the Payload Operation Centres of UVIT, LAXPC, SXT, and CZTI instruments.

Workshop Announcement
AstroSat Science Support Cell (ASSC), IUCAA and Providence Women's College, Kozhikode together are organizing a Workshop on 'AstroSat & XPOSAT Data Analysis* from June 10-14, 2025 at Providence Women's College, Kozhikode.
The primary component of the workshop will be several projects undertaken by group of participants under the guidance of experts, with some lectures describing AstroSat and XPoSat data analysis and science. The projects will primarily involve analysis of AstroSat data with an aim to produce scientific results that would have the potential to be published in journals.
Applications are invited primarily from Ph.D. students. Preference will be given to 1st/2nd year Ph.D students and whose thesis topic involves AstroSat/XPOSAT data analysis. Interested Postdoctoral Fellows, young faculty members, M.Sc and B.Tech students may also apply.
The deadline for application is 18th May 2025 and the selected applicants will be informed by 20th May, 2025
